Armed with military-grade AES-256 XTS hardware encryption and a tamper-proof extruded aluminium shell, the iStorage Kanguru SS3 32GB turns every USB data transfer into a vault-like operation. FIPS 140-3 Level 3 (pending) certification and an IP68-rated body make it the go-to choice for security-conscious professionals who refuse to compromise on durability.

Overview

The Kanguru SS3 is a USB 3.2 Gen 1 flash drive engineered around a hardware encryption controller that is Common Criteria EAL5+ ready. It features a PIN pad for user authentication, allowing a 7–15 digit PIN to lock the drive. The encrypted data stays on the device, and the self-destruct and auto-lock functions give you granular control over your security. With read speeds up to 160 MB/s and write speeds up to 116 MB/s, it handles large files efficiently without sacrificing data safety.

What stands out

• Hardware AES-256 XTS encryption: All data is encrypted on the fly, so nothing is left vulnerable in memory.
• PIN pad authentication: Enter a 7–15 digit PIN directly on the drive; no software installation required.
• IP68 certified: Dust-tight and water-resistant for use in harsh environments.
• Self-destruct & read-only modes: User-configurable options to protect against brute-force attacks and accidental writes.
• Auto-lock: Automatically locks the drive when removed or after a user-defined inactivity period.
