j5create milieuvriendelijke USB-C naar 4-poorts Type-C en Type-A Gen 2 hub

The j5create JCH342EC Eco-Friendly USB-C® to 4-Port Type-C & Type-A Gen 2 Hub is a compact adapter that expands a single USB-C® port into four high-speed USB connections with transfer rates up to 10 Gbps. Constructed using recycled materials, this pocket-sized hub provides both Type-C and Type-A Gen 2 ports for connecting external drives, peripherals, and charging cables. Its compact dimensions (approximately 100 × 27 × 19 mm) make it suitable for MacBook®, Chromebook™, and other laptops or desktops equipped with a USB-C® port.

Advantages

The hub delivers fast data transfer up to 10 Gbps and supports both Type-C and Type-A Gen 2 devices, allowing versatile connectivity for modern and legacy peripherals. Its eco-friendly enclosure is made from recycled materials, reducing environmental impact while remaining lightweight and portable. Small form factor and plug-and-play operation ensure easy use without additional drivers on most systems, including ChromeOS.

How to use

Connect the hub to a computer’s USB-C® port and attach desired USB Type-C or Type-A devices to the hub’s ports. The device is typically plug-and-play—no additional drivers are required on most modern operating systems, including ChromeOS. For optimal performance, connect high-speed storage devices directly to the Gen 2 ports and avoid using multiple bandwidth-heavy devices simultaneously if maximum transfer speed is required.

Recommendations

Use the hub with a direct USB-C® port on your laptop rather than through another multi-port adapter. For sustained high-speed transfers, connect a single external SSD at a time and ensure the host device supports USB 3.1/3.2 Gen 2 speeds. Keep the hub in a ventilated area during heavy use to avoid thermal throttling.
