K2 Systems S-Dome 6.15 basisset met BasicRail 1,82 m voor modulebreedtes 960-1170 mm

Flat roof solar installations demand a mounting solution that combines stability, ease of installation, and long-term durability without penetrating the roof membrane. The K2 Systems S-Dome 6.15 Base Set addresses these challenges head-on, providing a ballasted foundation for a single PV module in landscape orientation. This set includes the K2 BasicRail, a 1.82-meter aluminum rail engineered to accommodate module widths from 960 to 1170 mm, making it a versatile choice for various panel sizes. With a 15° tilt angle, the system optimizes energy yield while maintaining a low profile of approximately 150 mm, ensuring minimal visual impact and wind load.

Who is it for

This base set is ideal for solar installers and contractors working on flat or low-slope roofs, particularly in commercial and industrial settings. It suits projects where roof penetration is undesirable or prohibited, such as membrane roofs, and where a lightweight yet robust aluminum structure is preferred. Homeowners with flat roof extensions or garages can also benefit from its straightforward, non-invasive installation.

Tips

Before installation, verify that the roof structure can support the additional ballast weight required for your specific wind and snow loads. Use the K2 Base planning tool to calculate optimal ballast distribution. Ensure the module width falls within the 960–1170 mm range for proper rail engagement. For larger arrays, combine multiple base sets and connect rails using K2 splicing components.
