Kaartspel MATTEL UNO Zero — aflegspel, leeftijd 7+, incl. deck en scoreblok

MATTEL UNO Zero is a shedding-style card game for players aged 7 and up that blends classic UNO mechanics with a low-score objective. Each round players arrange a 2x3 grid of facedown cards, reveal and swap cards to reduce their score, and use familiar action cards such as Reverse, Skip and Double Draw to influence play. The set includes a full deck and a scorecard for tracking results across rounds. Card faces incorporate graphic symbols to help identify colours, making the game accessible to players with colour vision differences.

Advantages

UNO Zero keeps the core match-and-play experience of UNO while introducing a strategic grid and low-score goal inspired by golf-style card games. The included scorepad simplifies round tracking and encourages multi-round play. Action cards add tactical depth, and the colour-identifying symbols improve accessibility for players with colour blindness. The compact deck and simple rules make the game suitable for family nights, parties and travel.

Suitable for

• Family game nights with children aged 7 and older
• Casual gatherings and parties for 2–8 players
• Travel and compact entertainment
• Players who enjoy UNO and light strategy card games

How to use

Begin a game by shuffling the deck and dealing cards to form a 2x3 grid of facedown cards for each player. On a turn, reveal and swap cards, match colours or numbers to clear cards from the grid, and apply action card effects when played according to the rules. Use the included scorepad to record each player’s points at the end of a round; the objective is to achieve the lowest total score across rounds. Continue rounds until a player reaches the agreed end condition or target score.

Recommendations

For balanced play, use the full scorepad to track multiple rounds and agree on a target score before starting. Encourage players to call out the appropriate signals when they have a single card left, and keep the deck shuffled between rounds to maintain randomness. The colour-identifying symbols help include players with colour vision differences—make sure everyone understands those markers before play begins.
