Kabel-gender-changer HDMI-A ShiverPeaks SP10-01053 zwart zilver

The ShiverPeaks SP10-01053 Cable Gender Changer HDMI-A in black and silver is a compact adapter that converts one HDMI-A connector to another HDMI-A connector, allowing two HDMI-A terminated cables or devices to be joined directly. It features gold-plated contacts to support reliable electrical contact and reduced corrosion, providing consistent signal transfer for audio and video between HDMI-equipped devices. The small, low-profile housing and neutral black-and-silver finish make it suitable for use in home entertainment systems, workstations, and AV installations.

Advantages

This HDMI-A gender changer offers straightforward, passive conversion without the need for additional drivers or power. Gold-plated contacts improve contact reliability and long-term durability. The compact form factor minimizes space requirements behind displays or inside AV racks while maintaining the full HDMI-A connection geometry for compatibility with standard HDMI plugs.

Suitable for

• Joining two HDMI-A terminated cables to extend reach
• Connecting HDMI-A devices with limited cable clearance
• Temporary or permanent HDMI-A link in home cinema and office setups
• AV installations where space-saving adapters are required

Key specifications

• Connector type: HDMI-A to HDMI-A
• Contact plating: gold-plated contacts for improved conductivity and corrosion resistance
• Colour: black housing with silver accents
• Form factor: compact, low-profile adapter
• Function: passive gender changer (no signal conversion)

How to use

Insert one HDMI-A plug into each side of the gender changer until a secure mechanical fit is achieved. Ensure both HDMI connectors are fully seated to maintain optimal electrical contact. No configuration, software, or power supply is required. Use caution when connecting or disconnecting in tight spaces to avoid bending cable ends or stressing ports. Verify signal and resolution settings on connected source and display devices as needed.

Recommendations

To preserve signal quality, use the gender changer with HDMI cables that are in good condition and rated for the intended resolution and refresh rate. Avoid stacking multiple passive adapters in series and minimize cable bends near the connection point. For longer runs or where signal integrity is critical, consider using a single properly rated long HDMI cable or an active signal extender.
