Kabelbeschermingsslang zelfsluitend DELOCK 2 m × 16 mm oranje

DELOCK self-closing cable protection conduit, 2 m × 16 mm in orange, is a flexible sleeve designed to protect and organise electrical and data cables. Constructed from a combination of polyester monofilament and multifilament fibres, the conduit provides abrasion resistance and increased flame resistance. The bright orange jacket improves visibility for routing and labelling, while the self-closing structure allows cables to be inserted and removed quickly without tools. The sleeve can be shortened on site using a hot cutting tool to fit specific installations.

Advantages

The conduit combines flexibility and mechanical protection while remaining reusable and easy to handle. Its self-closing design speeds up installation and maintenance by allowing cables to be added or removed without disassembly. The polyester fibre construction offers a wide operating temperature range and enhanced abrasion and flame resistance. The orange colour increases visibility and simplifies identification of cable runs in offices, industrial sites and home environments.

Suitable for

• Routing and protecting power and data cables in offices
• Organising visible cable runs in workshop and industrial areas
• Protecting wiring in temporary installations and events
• Cable management in server rooms, AV setups and home entertainment systems

When it may not be suitable

This conduit is not intended as a sealed or watertight solution and will not protect cables from prolonged immersion or exposure to liquids. It is also not a substitute for conduit systems required to meet specific electrical code enclosures where rigid or metallic conduit is mandated. For very high-mechanical-impact locations or where sharp edges are present, additional protection or routing strategies may be required.

Key specifications

• Length: 2 m
• Inner diameter (nominal): 16 mm
• Colour: orange for improved visibility
• Material: polyester monofilament and multifilament
• Operating temperature range: -40 °C to 150 °C
• Flammability rating: UL 94
• Reusable, self-closing design
• Can be cut to length using appropriate hot cutting tools

How to use

Measure and cut the conduit to the required length using a suitable hot cutting tool to prevent fraying. Insert cables by spreading the self-closing sleeve and placing the cables into the opening; the sleeve will close around them. Route the bundled cables along the desired path and secure the conduit with cable ties or mounting accessories if fixed routing is needed. To access or rearrange cables, open the sleeve where required and add or remove individual cables; the conduit will re-close after handling.

What to consider before purchase

• Verify that the 16 mm diameter accommodates the combined diameter of the cables to be bundled.
• Confirm the 2 m length is sufficient for your routing needs or plan for multiple pieces.
• Assess whether a non-sealing, flexible sleeve meets local electrical code or environmental protection requirements.
• Ensure cutting and installation tools appropriate for polyester fibre are available if length adjustment is needed.

Recommendations

Use the conduit where visibility and flexible protection are priorities. For permanent or high-risk installations, combine the sleeve with additional securing points and avoid routing across sharp edges. When shortening, use a hot cutting tool to seal the ends and reduce fraying; follow standard safety precautions and manufacturer guidance for thermal cutting.
