Kabelontwarmer ShiverPeaks 71216-S-SET2 — draaibescherming voor telefoonsnoeren

The ShiverPeaks Cable Unwinder 71216-S-SET2 is a compact accessory designed to prevent twisting and tangling of telephone handset cords. Fitted between the handset and the base, this telephone handset cord twist stop enables smooth retraction and controlled rotation of coiled cords, improving ease of use and reducing mechanical stress that shortens cable life. Its slim form and black-transparent finish make it suitable for both office and home telephony setups where tidy cable management and extended cord longevity are desired.

Advantages

The device reduces cable twisting by allowing the handset cord to rotate freely without forming knots, which decreases wear on internal conductors and insulation. Its compact, narrow design keeps the unit unobtrusive on desks or next to wall-mounted phones. Installation requires no specialized tools and the unit supports up to two connections in the set, providing a simple, maintenance-free solution to common handset cable problems.

Suitable for

• Office desk phones with coiled handset cords
• Home telephony where handset cord management is needed
• Shared workspaces and reception areas with frequent handset use
• Environments seeking to extend the usable life of telephone cords

Key specifications

• Function: prevents twisting and tangling of coiled handset cords
• Design: slim, narrow profile for unobtrusive placement
• Finish: black-transparent housing
• Set composition: two-piece unit for up to two handset connections per package
• Compatibility: fits standard coiled telephone handset cords between handset and base
• Installation: tool-free mounting between handset plug and base cord

How to use

Disconnect the handset plug from the base, align the unwinder between the handset connector and the base lead, and reconnect the plugs so the unwinder sits inline with the handset cord. Ensure the cord is free to rotate through the unit while the handset is lifted and returned. No electrical modification is required; the device operates mechanically to reduce torsion and permit controlled rotation of the coiled cord.

Recommendations

Install the unwinder in a position that does not place excessive bending stress on adjacent cable sections. Regularly inspect the cord and the unwinder for signs of wear; replace the device if rotation becomes stiff or the housing is damaged. For best results use one unwinder per handset cord and avoid routing the cord through sharp edges or tight channels.
