Kabelstekker ShiverPeaks BS50600-G2 6,3 mm goud male 2 stk.

The ShiverPeaks BS50600-G2 6.3mm Gold Male wire connector is a plated audio connector designed for reliable signal transfer and mechanical durability. Finished in gold to enhance conductivity and corrosion resistance, the connector is supplied in packs of two and fits standard 6.3 mm (1/4 inch) female sockets. It is intended for use where a compact, sturdy male contact is required for audio, instrument, and general-purpose electrical connections.

Advantages

The gold plating improves electrical conductivity and reduces oxidation, supporting clearer signal transmission over time. The 6.3 mm diameter conforms to common audio and instrument connector sizes, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of sockets and adapters. Supplied as a pair, the connectors are convenient for stereo or dual-channel applications and for replacing worn or damaged male contacts. The design emphasizes straightforward mechanical engagement and reliable contact pressure.

Suitable for

• Audio equipment connections such as amplifiers, mixers, and effect units
• Instrument leads for guitars, keyboards and other electric instruments
• Repair and replacement of worn 6.3 mm male connectors
• DIY electronics and custom cable assemblies requiring a gold-plated male contact

Key specifications

• Connector type: 6.3 mm (1/4") male
• Finish: gold-plated contact surface
• Quantity: 2 pieces per pack
• Primary use: audio and general-purpose signal connections
• Color: gold

How to use

Prepare the cable by stripping the outer jacket and separating the conductor and shield according to the connector’s assembly method. Insert the conductor into the male contact and secure according to the connector’s construction — this may involve soldering or mechanical fastening depending on the specific mating design. Ensure the contact is seated fully and that insulation is positioned to prevent shorting. After assembly, test the connection in the intended socket to verify signal continuity and mechanical fit.

Recommendations

For best results, use with clean, dry contacts and avoid excessive mechanical stress on the connection. When soldering, follow proper temperature and flux usage to protect the plating. Periodically inspect for wear and oxidation even though gold plating reduces corrosion risk.
