The Trixie Cat Stick TRIXIE TX-42435 Matatabi with Tassels Wood 240mm is a wand-style cat toy featuring a natural matatabi wood tip and soft tassels attached to a 240 mm wooden handle. Designed for interactive play between owner and pet, the toy encourages stalking, pouncing and gentle chewing while offering a textured surface that many cats find stimulating. Its compact length and lightweight construction make it suitable for quick play sessions and for guiding your cat through short bursts of exercise.

Advantages

This matatabi cat stick combines a natural wood end that can attract and stimulate many cats with flexible tassels that move unpredictably to mimic prey. The 240 mm wooden handle gives a comfortable grip for the owner and allows precise control of movement. The product is made with simple materials that are easy to clean and maintain, and the compact size supports both indoor use and storage.

Suitable for

• Interactive play sessions between owner and cat
• Encouraging active movement, jumping and stalking
• Providing mild chewing stimulation for cats attracted to matatabi
• Short supervised play for indoor cats

Key specifications

• Overall style: wand toy with tassels
• Material: wooden handle with matatabi wood tip and fabric tassels
• Length: 240 mm (handle depth)
• Weight: lightweight, designed for handheld use
• Intended species: adult and young domestic cats

How to use

Hold the wooden handle and move the tassels in short, varied motions to simulate prey — dragging them along the floor, flicking them upward or allowing them to flutter in the air. Keep play sessions short and interactive, allowing the cat to pounce and catch the tassels under supervision. Store the toy out of the cat's reach when not in use to preserve the tassels and wood tip. Inspect periodically for wear and remove the toy if tassels become detached or the wood splinters.

Recommendations

Use the matatabi stick during supervised play only. Rotate this toy with other types of stimulation to maintain interest. If your cat shows strong chewing on the wood or tassels, limit unsupervised access and replace the toy when components show significant wear.
