Kettingslot ABUS 55142 zwart blauw 1100 mm

The ABUS 55142 Black Blue 1100 mm chain lock is a compact security solution for bicycles, scooters and other urban mobility devices. It combines a hardened steel chain with a weather-resistant outer sleeve and a cylinder lock mechanism supplied with two keys. At 1100 mm length and a 7 mm chain diameter, the lock balances portability and protection while its 1.5 kg weight keeps it easy to carry.

Advantages

This chain lock offers robust cut resistance through a hardened steel construction and tightly linked chain segments. The outer fabric sleeve helps protect frame paint from scratches and reduces noise during transport. Supplied keys provide convenient access without relying on digital systems. The moderate length allows secure locking to fixed objects while remaining compact enough for storage on most bikes or in backpacks.

Suitable for

• Securing city and commuter bicycles during short to medium stops
• Locking scooters and electric kickboards in urban environments
• Protecting bikes when parked at bike racks, posts or railings
• Use when a balance of portability and security is required

Key specifications

• Chain length: 1100 mm
• Chain diameter: 7 mm
• Material: hardened steel chain with protective sleeve
• Weight: approximately 1.5 kg
• Lock type: cylinder lock with two supplied keys
• Finish: black and blue outer sleeve

How to use

Wrap the chain around the frame and a secure fixed object such as a bike rack or post, passing the chain through the wheel or frame triangle for added security. Insert the locking pin into the cylinder and turn the key to engage the lock. Keep the chain sleeve aligned to avoid contact between metal and the bike frame. When not in use, coil the chain and store it in a bag or attach it to the frame using available mounts.

Recommendations

For enhanced security, lock the frame and at least one wheel to an immovable object and avoid leaving the bike unattended in high-risk areas for extended periods. Regularly inspect the cylinder and chain for wear or corrosion and keep spare keys in a safe place.
