Fietsslot FISCHER 85861 — 900 mm lengte, 24 mm diameter, zwart

The FISCHER 85861 bike lock is a loop-style security cable measuring 900 mm in length with a 24 mm diameter, finished in black. It is designed to secure bicycles to fixed objects such as bike racks, posts or railings. The lock's compact form and medium length make it suitable for everyday use, short stops and urban commuting where a simple, reliable restraint is required.

Advantages

This lock combines a thick 24 mm cable profile with a 900 mm looped length that allows flexible anchoring options while remaining portable. The black finish reduces visual attention and resists visible wear. Its construction provides a practical deterrent against opportunistic theft and is easy to handle for routine locking and unlocking during daily rides.

Suitable for

• Securing bicycles to bike racks, poles and railings
• Short stops in urban environments
• Commuting and occasional parking in public areas
• Transporting as a secondary or backup lock

Key specifications

• Lock type: loop-style cable/loop lock
• Length: 900 mm
• Cable diameter: 24 mm
• Color: black
• Application: bicycle security for everyday use and short stops

How to use

Pass the cable loop through the bicycle frame and, when possible, through the rear wheel, then around a fixed object such as a rack or pole. Thread the free end into the locking mechanism and secure according to the lock's operating method. Keep the cable taut and avoid leaving exposed slack that could facilitate tampering. Store the lock in a bag or mounted holder when not in use to prevent damage and for convenient access.

Recommendations

Use this lock as part of layered security: pair it with a heavier D‑lock or insurance-qualifying lock for higher-risk areas. Prefer anchoring through the bicycle frame rather than only the wheel, and choose well-lit, busy locations when parking. Regularly inspect the cable and locking mechanism for wear and corrosion, and lubricate the lock mechanism as needed to maintain reliable operation.
