Kettingslot ABUS 56342 Zwart 1100 mm Staal 330 g

The ABUS 56342 Black 1100 mm Steel chain lock is a compact security solution for bicycles and similar personal transport. With a total length of 1100 mm and 4 mm chain link diameter, the chain combines portability and basic theft protection for everyday situations. The steel construction and black finish provide a durable, low-visibility option for locking frames, wheels or securing a bike to a fixed object.

Advantages

The chain lock offers a balance of light weight and practicality, weighing approximately 330 g which makes it easy to carry on rides without adding significant bulk. Its 4 mm steel links resist casual cutting attempts better than fabric or cable locks while the 1100 mm length gives flexibility to loop around frames, wheels and fixed anchors. The black coating helps protect the metal from corrosion and reduces visual attention when parked in urban environments.

Key specifications

• Length: 1100 mm
• Chain link diameter: 4 mm
• Material: steel
• Weight: 330 g
• Finish: black coating

How to use

Loop the chain around the bike frame and a secure or immovable object such as a pole or dedicated bike stand, then thread the chain through the frame and, if possible, a wheel. Close and lock according to the lock mechanism supplied with the chain (follow the manufacturer’s instructions for the lock head included). Ensure the chain is positioned to minimize leverage points and keep it off the ground where tools could be applied more easily.

Recommendations

Use this chain lock as a convenient everyday deterrent for low- to medium-risk locations; for higher-risk areas combine it with a more robust U-lock or heavy-duty chain and always lock both frame and at least one wheel. Store the chain dry when not in use to prolong the service life and check periodically for wear or damage.
