The Victorinox Swiss Classic Santokumesser 17cm yellow is a versatile kitchen knife with a 17 cm high-quality stainless steel blade designed for everyday food preparation. The blade profile and balanced weight distribution support precise slicing, dicing and chopping of vegetables, herbs, fish and boneless meats. The ergonomic yellow handle is slip-resistant and shaped for comfortable repeated use, while the single-piece construction around the blade area promotes hygiene and ease of cleaning.

The overall design supports simple maintenance and long-term reliability when used with proper care.

Key specifications

• Blade length: 17 cm
• Blade material: high-quality stainless steel
• Handle: ergonomic, slip-resistant, yellow
• Knife type: santoku-style blade profile
• Construction: designed for balanced weight and hygiene

How to use

Hold the handle with a secure grip and position the food on a stable cutting board. Use a rocking or forward slicing motion appropriate to the santoku profile to achieve clean cuts. Apply even pressure and let the blade do the work to maintain control and minimize slips. After use, rinse the blade under warm water and dry immediately to prevent water spots and preserve the edge. For best results, use an appropriate sharpening method when the knife shows signs of dulling.

Recommendations

Use the knife for its intended food-preparation tasks, avoid cutting through bones or frozen foods, and store it safely in a knife block or protective sheath. Hand wash and dry after each use; periodic honing and professional or guided sharpening will extend the useful life and cutting performance of the blade.
