Keystone-koppeling RJ-45 afgeschermd CAT5E ACT SD5019

The ACT Keystone Coupler RJ-45 shielded CAT5E SD5019 is a compact interconnect component designed to join two RJ-45 cables within a keystone wall plate or patch panel. Finished in steel color with a shielded construction, this coupler supports CAT5E network performance and helps maintain signal integrity by reducing electromagnetic interference. It provides a straightforward inline connection point for structured cabling installations in residential and small business environments.

Advantages

The shielded CAT5E keystone coupler offers enhanced protection against EMI and crosstalk compared with unshielded alternatives, improving stability for Ethernet links. Its compatible keystone form factor allows quick snap-in installation into standard faceplates or modular panels. The metalized exterior increases durability for repeated insertions and provides a secure ground path when used with shielded cabling systems.

Suitable for

• Extending or repairing CAT5E Ethernet runs within wall plates and patch panels
• Shielded network installations requiring reduced electromagnetic interference
• Home offices, small business networks, classrooms, and meeting rooms
• Temporary or permanent inline cable connections and field terminations

Key specifications

• Connector type: Two RJ-45 female couplers
• Category: CAT5E
• Shielding: Metal-shielded design to minimize EMI
• Form factor: Standard keystone module compatible with keystone wall plates and panels
• Finish: Steel color metalized housing
• Operating environment: Indoor use, suitable for office and residential cabling

How to use

Insert the coupler into a compatible keystone opening in a wall plate or patch panel until it snaps into place. Connect one RJ-45 terminated cable to each side of the coupler, ensuring secure plug engagement. If using shielded cabling, verify that the cable shields are correctly terminated and that the keystone plate and coupler provide a continuity path to the system ground for optimal shielding performance.

Recommendations

Use the coupler within rated CAT5E network links and avoid exposing the module to moisture or outdoor conditions. For best results in shielded installations, maintain consistent shielding continuity from cable to connector to chassis ground. Test the assembled link with appropriate network testing tools to confirm signal integrity and performance.
