Keystone modulaire coupler ROLINE Cat.6a afgeschermd 21.17.3006

The ROLINE Cat.6a Keystone Modular Coupler is a shielded RJ-45 inline connector designed to extend Cat.6a twisted-pair cables while preserving signal integrity. It has an all-metal housing with a silver finish and provides 1:1 connection across eight contacts, meeting Cat.6a transmission characteristics for modern Ethernet installations.

Advantages

The metal shielded housing protects against electrical and magnetic interference, improving overall transmission stability. The coupler supports the standard pair mapping (pairs 1/2 and 3/6) used by Ethernet, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance. Its compact keystone form factor allows easy installation into faceplates and patch panels.

Suitable for

• Extending Cat.6a and lower-category twisted-pair patch cables
• Connecting patch cables within wall plates, patch panels, or modular faceplates
• Use in environments requiring reduced electromagnetic interference

Key specifications

• Compatibility: Cat.6a (backward compatible with Cat.6/Cat.5e)
• Contacts: 8 contacts, wired 1:1
• Shielding: Metal (shielded RJ-45 keystone)
• Colour/finish: Silver
• Form factor: Keystone modular coupler

How to use

Insert the coupler into a compatible keystone opening in a wall plate or patch panel, or use it as an inline adapter between two RJ-45 patch cables. Align each RJ-45 plug and fully insert until it clicks to ensure secure contact across all eight pins. Verify connection and network link status after installation.

Recommendations

For best performance, use with Cat.6a-rated patch cables and avoid tight bends near the connection. Ensure the metal housing is properly grounded when installed in shielded cabling systems to maximise EMI protection.
