The Osprey Poco Tourist carrier Black is a lightweight child backpack carrier engineered for safe, ergonomic transport of young children during day hikes, urban walks and short trips. This model integrates a structured aluminum frame and a contoured child seat to keep the child secure and comfortable while maintaining a compact profile for easy carrying and storage. Designed by Osprey for parents who need a portable carrying solution, the carrier balances child support, ventilation and load distribution to reduce fatigue on the wearer.

Advantages

The carrier offers a structured frame that provides stability and even weight distribution across the shoulders and hips, and an adjustable harness system that secures the child while allowing quick adjustments for growing toddlers. The lightweight construction minimizes the carrier’s own weight without compromising durability. Integrated padding and breathable materials improve comfort for both child and wearer, while multiple adjustment points allow a tailored fit for different adult torso lengths.

Use this carrier for supervised day outings and avoid extended multi-day loads beyond the carrier’s design intent. Follow manufacturer guidance on child weight and age limits, and ensure regular checks of straps, buckles and frame integrity. For comfort, balance load distribution, take regular breaks and keep the child protected from sun and cold with suitable clothing or accessories.
