Kompas SILVA Racing Arc Jet 360 Right Hand 37894 – oriëntatieloop-racekompas, rechtshandig ontwerp, 360°-ring

The SILVA Racing Arc Jet 360 Right Hand is an orienteering racing compass engineered for quick, accurate direction finding during fast movement. Its right-hand ergonomic layout places the bezel and index where a runner's thumb can operate them without interrupting stride. A full 360° rotating bezel and a clear directional arrow enable rapid bearing selection and confident map-to-terrain transitions. The compact, lightweight housing reduces interference with motion while maintaining stable needle performance for reliable navigation in varied outdoor environments.

Advantages

The Racing Arc Jet 360 Right Hand combines a full-circle bezel with a thumb-operated ergonomic design to support fast, single-handed adjustments. Its compact profile and low weight minimize drag and bulk for runners and competitors. The clear markings and responsive magnetic needle provide precise heading reads and help maintain course accuracy under motion. Durable materials and a stable baseplate construction offer consistent operation across a range of temperatures and terrain types.

Suitable for

• Foot orienteering and competitive racing where rapid bearing changes are required
• Trail running and cross-country navigation over varied terrain
• Training sessions focused on map-to-ground orientation and route choice
• Any outdoor activity that requires compact, right-hand compass operation during movement

Key specifications

• Right-hand ergonomic layout for thumb operation
• 360-degree rotating bezel for full bearing selection
• Compact, lightweight housing suitable for running
• Clear directional arrow and printed degree markings for fast reads
• Stable magnetic needle optimized for quick settling

How to use

Hold the SILVA Racing Arc Jet 360 Right Hand with your right hand so your thumb rests on the bezel for easy rotation. Align the edge of the baseplate with your map course or target landmark, then rotate the bezel until the index matches the desired bearing. Lift your head and rotate your body until the magnetic needle aligns with the orienting marks; the directional arrow then indicates your travel direction. Use short, controlled glances at the compass while moving to maintain bearing without breaking stride.

Recommendations

For best performance, keep the compass away from magnetic and metallic objects that can disturb the needle. Practice map-to-compass drills at slow pace before attempting high-speed navigation. When not in use, store the compass in a dry place and avoid prolonged exposure to strong sunlight to preserve printed markings and material integrity.
