Krimpkous DeLOCK 18940 zwart 5 m 1,6 cm

The DeLOCK 18940 heat shrink tube is a 5-meter long polyolefin sleeve with a maximum diameter of 1.6 cm in black colour. It is designed to insulate and protect cables, wires and electrical connections by shrinking uniformly around the conductor when heated, providing mechanical protection and increased resistance to environmental effects.

Advantages

The polyolefin construction offers reliable electrical insulation and good mechanical strength. The 5 m length allows cutting to required sizes for repairs or installations, while the 1.6 cm maximum diameter fits a variety of cable bundles. Black colour provides discreet appearance and UV stability in many applications.

Suitable for

• Insulating individual wires and cable splices
• Repairing damaged cable jackets
• Bundling and protecting small cable assemblies
• DIY electrical projects and automotive wiring tasks

How to use

Cut the heat shrink tube to the required length, slide it over the cable or splice, then apply heat evenly along the sleeve using a heat gun or suitable heat source until the tube shrinks and tightly conforms to the cable. Allow to cool before handling to ensure a secure fit.

Recommendations

For best results use a temperature-controlled heat gun and apply heat gradually to avoid scorching. Ensure the tube covers the full length of the exposed area and verify compatibility with the cable insulation material. Observe appropriate safety precautions when working with heat and electricity.
