Lenovo ThinkStation P3 Tiny Gen 2 Intel Core Ultra 7 265 48 GB DDR5-SDRAM 512 GB SSD NVIDIA RTX A1000 Windows 11 Pro Workstation zwart

Lenovo ThinkStation P3 Tiny Gen 2 is a compact workstation powered by the Intel Core Ultra 7 265 processor with 20 cores (8P + 12E) and up to 5.3 GHz turbo. It comes configured with 48 GB DDR5‑5600 memory, a 512 GB PCIe 5.0 NVMe SSD, and a dedicated NVIDIA RTX A1000 8 GB GPU alongside integrated Intel graphics. The system runs Windows 11 Pro, is housed in a black chassis, and weighs approximately 1.4 kg. A 330 W power supply is included to support professional workloads.

Advantages

The ThinkStation P3 Tiny Gen 2 combines high single‑ and multi‑thread performance of the Intel Core Ultra 7 265 with fast DDR5 memory and a PCIe 5.0 SSD for responsive application loading and multitasking. Its NVIDIA RTX A1000 GPU provides professional graphics acceleration for CAD, visualization and GPU‑accelerated workloads while keeping a very small desktop footprint. Preinstalled Windows 11 Pro and a 330 W PSU make it ready for business use out of the box.

Suitable for

• CAD and 3D modelling applications at small to medium complexity
• Content creation and video editing workflows that benefit from GPU acceleration
• Software development, data analysis and multitasking with many concurrent applications
• Office and professional environments where space is limited

When it may not be suitable

This compact workstation is designed for space‑constrained environments and professional workloads but is not intended as a high‑end server or a full‑size tower replacement for extreme multi‑GPU or extensive internal expandability. Users who need very large local storage arrays, multiple high‑power GPUs, or frequent internal hardware expansion may find a larger workstation chassis more appropriate.

How to use

Unpack the system, connect a monitor, keyboard, mouse and network (wired or via Wi‑Fi). Power on and follow the Windows 11 Pro setup prompts to configure user accounts and network settings. Install required professional software (CAD, content creation, analysis tools) and drivers—verify NVIDIA driver installation for optimal GPU performance. For best results, keep system firmware and drivers up to date and configure power profiles in Windows according to workload needs.

What to consider before purchase

• Ensure the 48 GB single‑module DDR5 configuration meets future upgrade needs and check available SODIMM slots for expansion.
• Confirm 512 GB SSD capacity is sufficient for project files or plan for external or network storage if needed.
• Verify that the NVIDIA RTX A1000 GPU provides the performance and driver support required by your professional applications.
• Consider connectivity needs (ports, displays, Ethernet vs Wi‑Fi) relative to your workspace setup.

Recommendations

For stable professional performance, install the latest Intel and NVIDIA drivers, use a quality UPS when used in critical environments, and schedule regular backups of project data to external or network storage.
