Lenovo ThinkStation P3 Tiny Gen 2 Intel Core Ultra 9 285 64 GB DDR5-SDRAM 1 TB SSD NVIDIA RTX A1000 Windows 11 Pro Workstation zwart

The Lenovo ThinkStation P3 Tiny Gen 2 is a compact workstation designed for space-constrained professional environments. It is powered by an Intel Core Ultra 9 285 processor with 24 cores and up to 5.6 GHz turbo, paired with 64 GB DDR5-5600 memory and a 1 TB PCIe NVMe SSD. Graphics are provided by on-board Intel graphics and a discrete NVIDIA RTX A1000 with 8 GB VRAM. The system runs Windows 11 Pro and comes in a black chassis with a 330 W power supply, weighing approximately 1.4 kg.

Advantages

The P3 Tiny Gen 2 combines high core-count CPU performance with fast DDR5 memory and PCIe 5.0 storage in a very small footprint, making it suitable where workstation-class compute and a compact form factor are required. The inclusion of an NVIDIA RTX A1000 discrete GPU adds certified professional graphics and CUDA-accelerated workflows, while Windows 11 Pro provides business-oriented features and security.

Suitable for

• 3D modelling and CAD workflows requiring professional GPU support
• Content creation and video editing with hardware-accelerated rendering
• Software development, virtualisation and multitasking with many threads
• Business applications and office work where a reliable compact workstation is needed

When it may not be suitable

Due to its tiny form factor and integrated 330 W power supply, the workstation is not intended for large-scale internal expandability or very high-power multi-GPU setups. Users who need extensive internal storage bays, multiple full‑size PCIe cards, or top-end gaming performance may find desktop tower workstations more appropriate.

How to use

Place the ThinkStation P3 Tiny on or under a desk where ventilation is not obstructed. Connect display, keyboard, mouse and network using the available ports. Install any required professional applications and GPU drivers for the NVIDIA RTX A1000 to enable accelerated rendering and compute. Use Windows 11 Pro management and security tools to configure user profiles and updates.

What to consider before purchase

• Confirm the NVIDIA RTX A1000 meets your software certification or performance needs for CAD, DCC or compute tasks.
• Assess storage needs — the compact chassis limits internal expansion; consider external or network storage if more capacity is required.
• Verify peripheral and display connectivity requirements and that the available ports and networking options satisfy your setup.

Recommendations

For sustained heavy workloads, ensure adequate airflow around the unit and keep system firmware and GPU drivers up to date. For projects requiring more local storage or additional PCIe cards, consider a larger workstation chassis.
