Lenovo ThinkStation P3 Tower Gen 2 Intel Core Ultra 7 265K 64 GB DDR5-SDRAM 512 GB SSD NVIDIA RTX 2000 Ada Windows 11 Pro workstation

Lenovo ThinkStation P3 Tower Gen 2 with an Intel Core Ultra 7 265K processor, 64 GB DDR5-5600 memory and a 512 GB NVMe SSD is a compact workstation designed for professional workloads. It combines integrated Intel graphics with a discrete NVIDIA RTX 2000 Ada GPU (16 GB) and ships with Windows 11 Pro. The system includes a 750 W power supply and a built-in card reader, and its chassis is intended for desk-based workstation use.

Advantages

The workstation delivers high multi-thread and single-thread performance from the 20-core (8P + 12E) Intel Core Ultra 7 265K with Turbo up to 5.5 GHz and 30 MB cache. Fast DDR5-5600 memory (64 GB) and a PCIe 5.0 NVMe SSD provide responsive system and application performance. The NVIDIA RTX 2000 Ada with 16 GB of dedicated memory is suitable for GPU-accelerated tasks, while Windows 11 Pro adds business-oriented management and security features.

Suitable for

• 3D modelling and CAD workflows that benefit from a professional GPU
• Content creation and video editing with GPU acceleration
• Data analysis, software development and multitasking with large memory demands
• Office and business applications requiring a stable workstation platform

When it may not be suitable

This tower may be oversized for simple everyday office tasks or casual home use where a basic desktop would suffice. It is also not targeted at gaming-first users who expect consumer gaming features or specific gaming GPU series optimised for high-frame-rate gaming.

How to use

Place the ThinkStation on a stable desk surface with adequate ventilation around the chassis. Connect monitor(s), keyboard and mouse, then attach network and power cables. On first start, complete Windows 11 Pro setup and install any required drivers or software for your professional applications. Use the discrete NVIDIA GPU for supported applications by selecting the dedicated GPU in application or system graphics settings when needed.

What to consider before purchase

• Verify that the NVIDIA RTX 2000 Ada meets your specific software certification or performance requirements.
• Ensure 512 GB of SSD storage is sufficient, or plan for additional internal or external storage if needed.
• Check physical space and weight requirements for placing a 14.38 kg tower on your desk or rack.

Recommendations

For consistent performance, keep the workstation in a cool, dust-free environment, install regular OS and driver updates, and use the discrete NVIDIA RTX 2000 Ada GPU for GPU-accelerated professional tasks while reserving integrated graphics for basic display needs.
