LevelOne GEP-1221 netwerkswitch unmanaged gigabit ethernet (10/100/1000) Power over Ethernet (PoE) zwart

The LevelOne GEP-1221 is an unmanaged Gigabit Ethernet switch offering 10 RJ-45 ports and 2 SFP slots, including 8 PoE/PSE ports to simplify deployment of powered devices. Designed for medium to large workgroups, the compact, rack-mountable unit supports a 22 Gbit/s switching capacity and a 4000-entry MAC address table for reliable network connectivity and smooth capacity upgrades.

Advantages

The GEP-1221 combines Gigabit copper ports with SFP uplinks and integrated PoE to remove constraints of power outlet locations and allow flexible device placement. Its unmanaged design requires no configuration, supporting plug-and-play installation in space-constrained racks or cabinets. Compliance with common IEEE standards ensures interoperability with existing network equipment.

Suitable for

• Small to medium office networks
• IP cameras and surveillance systems requiring PoE
• VoIP phones and wireless access point deployments
• Edge switching or uplink aggregation using SFP ports

How to use

Install the GEP-1221 in a 19" rack or on a flat surface where rack space is not available. Connect powered devices (IP cameras, access points, VoIP phones) to the PoE-enabled RJ-45 ports to receive data and power over a single cable. Use the SFP slots for fiber uplinks or long-distance connections and connect remaining devices to the gigabit RJ-45 ports. No configuration is required for basic operation; the switch will auto-negotiate link speed and duplex settings.

Recommendations

Place the switch in a ventilated location, observe PoE power budget limits when connecting multiple high-power devices, and use compatible SFP modules for fiber links to ensure reliable performance.
