Lindy 1,5 m Cat.6A S/FTP Locking-netwerkkabel, grijs

The Lindy Cat.6A Locking Network Cable (1.5 m) provides a shielded S/FTP design and a locking RJ-45 connector to reduce accidental or unauthorized cable removal. The cable supports bandwidths up to 500 MHz and is suitable for 10GBase-T networks. The halogen-free LSZH sheath reduces smoke and toxic emissions, making the cable appropriate for use in public and commercial spaces. Connectors feature gold-plated contacts and a snagless strain relief for reliable long-term performance.

Advantages

This Cat6A S/FTP cable offers high shielding (braid overall shield with foil per pair) to minimize electromagnetic interference and maintain stable data transmission at up to 10 Gigabit speeds. The locking security key secures the RJ-45 plug physically and allows removal only with the supplied key. Gold-plated contacts and a robust snagless strain relief increase connection reliability and protect the connector latch during repeated installations.

Suitable for

• High-speed Ethernet networks (10GBase-T)
• Server rooms and data centers where physical cable retention is required
• Office and public installations requiring low smoke halogen-free cabling
• Audio/video and professional AV installations needing shielded cabling

Key specifications

• Length: 1.5 m
• Cable category: Cat.6A (S/FTP)
• Bandwidth / frequency: up to 500 MHz
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45 with locking mechanism
• Contacts: gold-plated
• Sheath: LSZH (halogen-free)

How to use

Insert the RJ-45 connector into the network port until the locking mechanism engages. To remove the cable, use the supplied security key to release the lock, then pull the connector straight out to avoid strain on the cable. Use the snagless strain relief portion of the connector when routing to prevent latch damage during installation or reconfiguration.

Recommendations

Use this Lindy Cat.6A locking cable in shielded or mixed-environment installations where EMI reduction and physical retention are required. For optimal performance, maintain proper cable bend radius, avoid running parallel to high-voltage power lines, and ensure terminations and ports are compatible with Cat6A specifications.
