Lindy 15 m OM3 LC - ST duplex InfiniBand/glasvezelkabel turquoise

The Lindy 15m OM3 LC - ST Duplex fibre optic cable is a multimode duplex link designed for high-speed data transmission in structured networks. With a 50 µm core diameter and OM3 specification, it supports higher bandwidth and reduced modal dispersion for applications that require reliable optical connections. The cable features LC and ST connectors in a duplex configuration and comes in a turquoise jacket for easy identification in cable bundles and racks.

Advantages

This fibre optic cable offers stable full-duplex communication with low attenuation and high return loss typical of OM3 multimode fibre. Its 15 m length covers medium-distance connections within racks or between adjacent equipment rows. The duplex LC–ST connector pairing provides compatibility with equipment using LC transceivers on one end and ST-style ports on the other, reducing the need for additional adapters. The turquoise jacket improves visual management and helps separate OM3 links from other cabling types.

Suitable for (tasks / use cases)

• Interconnecting switches, servers and patch panels in data centres
• Linking optical transceivers where LC and ST connectors are required
• Network backbone segments inside telecom rooms or server cabinets
• Short- to medium-distance multimode fibre runs for campus networks

Key specifications

• Fibre type: Multimode OM3
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Configuration: Duplex
• Connector A: LC (duplex)
• Connector B: ST (duplex)
• Length: 15 m
• Jacket colour: Turquoise
• Transmission: Full duplex optical link

How to use

Inspect both connectors and device ports to ensure they are clean and free of dust before installation. Align the LC duplex connector with the corresponding LC transceiver and insert until it clicks; align the ST connector with the ST port and secure using the bayonet coupling mechanism. Route the cable through cable management systems to avoid sharp bends and excessive tension; maintain the minimum bend radius specified for multimode fibre. Test the link with appropriate optical testing equipment after installation to verify attenuation and end-to-end connectivity.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, keep the connectors covered with protective caps when not in use and avoid tight bends near the connector ends. Use in environments matching the cable's multimode OM3 rating and replace any visibly damaged cable to maintain link quality.
