Lindy 45957 Netwerkkabel groen 15 m Cat6 S/FTP (S-STP)

Cat.6 S/FTP network cable, 15 m length, with support for bandwidth up to 250 MHz and a snagless design. The cable uses foil shielding around each pair and an overall braid shield (S/FTP) and is manufactured to ISO/IEC 11801 standards. It features RJ‑45 connectors with gold‑plated contacts and a halogen‑free (LSZH) sheath, suitable for Gigabit Ethernet (up to 1GBase‑T) and AV extension applications.

Advantages

The S/FTP construction provides improved protection against electromagnetic interference, helping to maintain stable data transmission at operating frequencies up to 250 MHz. Gold‑plated contacts reduce the risk of corrosion and ensure long‑term reliable connections. A snagless connector design protects the latch during installation and removal, while the LSZH outer sheath minimises smoke and toxic gas emissions, making the cable appropriate for use in public and enclosed spaces.

Suitable for

• Gigabit Ethernet networks (up to 1GBase‑T)
• AV extension and professional network installations
• Office and public-area cabling where low smoke and halogen-free materials are required

Key specifications

• Standard: Cat.6 (ISO/IEC 11801)
• Shielding: S/FTP (foil per pair + overall braid)
• Bandwidth / Frequency: up to 250 MHz
• Connectors: RJ‑45 to RJ‑45
• Contacts: gold‑plated
• Length: 15 m
• Colour: Green
• Sheath: LSZH (halogen‑free)

How to use

Connect one RJ‑45 plug to your network device (such as a switch, router or network interface) and the other plug to the target device. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks. Route the cable avoiding sharp bends and excessive tension; use appropriate cable management to maintain bend radius and to prevent strain on connectors.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use this Cat.6 S/FTP cable in environments with potential electromagnetic interference and maintain cable length within Ethernet specifications. Avoid running parallel and close to high‑voltage power cables and replace any cable that shows visible damage to the sheath or connectors.
