Lindy 45983 Netwerkkabel geel 3 m Cat6 S/FTP (S-STP)

Cat.6 S/FTP networking cable Lindy 45983 in yellow, 3 m length, supports bandwidths up to 250 MHz and is designed for Ethernet standards up to 1GBase-T. The cable uses foil shielding for each pair and an overall braided shield (S/FTP) and is manufactured and tested to ISO/IEC 11801. The LSZH (halogen-free) sheath provides low smoke emission and no halogen toxic gases, making the cable suitable for installations in public spaces. Connectors are RJ-45 with gold-plated contacts and the cable is supplied individually in a polybag.

Advantages

The S/FTP shielding and adherence to Cat.6 specifications ensure reliable performance for Gigabit Ethernet and AV extension applications up to 250 MHz. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts offer corrosion resistance and stable signal transmission. The snagless connector design reduces the risk of latch damage during installation and removal. The LSZH jacket minimizes smoke and eliminates halogen emissions in case of fire, improving safety in public or confined environments.

Suitable for

• Gigabit Ethernet (1GBase-T) connections
• AV extension and media distribution
• Office network cabling and patch panels
• Public spaces and installations requiring low-smoke halogen-free cabling

Key specifications

• Model: Lindy 45983
• Standard: Cat.6 (ISO/IEC 11801)
• Shielding: S/FTP (foil per pair + braided overall)
• Bandwidth / Frequency: up to 250 MHz
• Maximum data rate: up to 1 Gbit/s (1GBase-T)
• Length: 3 m
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45, gold-plated contacts
• Jacket: LSZH (halogen-free)
• Colour: Yellow
• Packaging: individual polybag

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 plug to your network device (switch, router, PC or AV equipment) and the other to the corresponding port. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks; the snagless design protects the latch during plugging and unplugging. Route the cable avoiding sharp bends and mechanical stress to maintain performance. For installations in racks or conduits, follow standard cable management practices and the ISO/IEC 11801 guidelines.

Recommendations

Use this Cat.6 S/FTP LSZH cable for short to medium-length Gigabit Ethernet and AV links where low smoke emission and halogen-free materials are required. Avoid exposure to excessive heat or chemicals and do not exceed bend radius recommendations for Cat.6 cables to preserve signal integrity.
