Lindy 47184 Netwerkkabel zwart 15 m Cat6a S/FTP (S-STP)

The Lindy 47184 networking cable is a 15 m Cat6 S/FTP patch cable with gold-plated RJ-45 connectors and a black jacket. Designed for 10/100/1000Base-T(X) Ethernet environments, this cable supports high-speed data transmission up to 1000 Mbit/s and provides shielding to reduce electromagnetic interference. Its construction is intended for reliable wired network connections between routers, switches, patch panels and networked devices in offices, server rooms and home networks.

Advantages

The S/FTP shielding improves protection against external interference and crosstalk compared with unshielded cables, contributing to more stable network performance. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors offer better contact quality and corrosion resistance for long-term use. The 15 m length gives flexibility in routing and placement of equipment without needing intermediate connections. The black outer jacket provides a discreet appearance suitable for visible or concealed cable runs.

Suitable for

• Connecting PCs, switches and routers in office and home networks
• Patch panel to switch or wall outlet connections in structured cabling
• Wired connections for VoIP phones and network printers
• Temporary or semi-permanent cabling in server rooms and equipment racks

Key specifications

• Category: Cat6
• Length: 15 m
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45, gold-plated contacts
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid with individually shielded pairs)
• Supported cabling technology: 10/100/1000Base-T(X)
• Colour: Black
• Maximum nominal data rate: up to 1000 Mbit/s

How to use

Route the Lindy Cat6 cable between the two network ports you need to connect, ensuring connectors are fully inserted into the RJ-45 sockets until they click. Avoid sharp bends and kinks along the cable run to maintain signal integrity; keep the cable away from strong sources of electromagnetic interference where possible. If using within structured cabling, label both ends for easier maintenance and test the connection after installation to verify link speed and stability.

Recommendations

For best results, use this Cat6 S/FTP cable where shielded cabling is required or recommended—such as environments with potential interference from electrical equipment. Maintain bend radius recommendations and avoid stretching the cable. Periodically inspect connectors for dirt or corrosion and re-seat connections if link issues occur.
