Lindy 47197 Netwerkkabel wit 7,5 m Cat6a S/FTP (S-STP)

The Lindy 47197 White 7.5m Cat6 S/FTP networking cable is a 7.5‑metre Ethernet cable engineered for Gigabit Ethernet connections up to 1000 Mbit/s. It uses Cat6 twisted‑pair wiring and S/FTP shielding (shielded foil around each pair plus an overall braided shield) to reduce electromagnetic interference and crosstalk. Both ends are terminated with gold‑plated RJ‑45 connectors for stable contact and improved corrosion resistance. The cable's white jacket provides a neutral appearance suitable for visible installations in homes and offices.

Advantages

S/FTP construction offers enhanced protection against external interference, improving signal integrity in environments with multiple cables or nearby electronic equipment. Cat6 specification supports high data rates and reliable performance for wired networks. Gold‑plated RJ‑45 connectors reduce contact resistance and help maintain a consistent connection over repeated plug cycles. The 7.5 m length provides flexibility for routing between devices without excessive slack, and the white outer jacket blends with light-coloured interiors.

Suitable for

• Connecting PCs, laptops, NAS devices and network printers to a router or switch
• Home and small office wired local area network (LAN) installations
• Areas with potential electromagnetic interference where shielded cabling is preferred
• Temporary setups or permanent in-wall wiring where a 7.5 m reach is required

How to use

Determine the devices and network ports to connect and route the Lindy 47197 cable between them avoiding sharp bends and tight kinks. Insert the RJ‑45 connector firmly into the Ethernet port until it clicks. For best performance, keep the cable away from unshielded power cabling and strong electromagnetic sources. If routing through walls or along baseboards, secure the cable with suitable clips or conduit and avoid over‑tightening to prevent deformation of the jacket or internal pairs.

Recommendations

Use this Cat6 S/FTP cable where reliable Gigabit connections and reduced interference are important. For maximum long-term performance, ensure connectors remain clean and avoid repeatedly bending near the connector ends. For distances beyond 7.5 m, consider appropriate-length Cat6 or higher-category cables to maintain link quality.
