Lindy 47385 Netwerkkabel wit 3 m Cat6 S/FTP (S-STP)

The Lindy Cat.6 S/FTP RJ-45 3m White networking cable is a Category 6 twisted-pair cable designed for Gigabit Ethernet environments. It provides a 3 m connection between devices using standard RJ-45 terminations and features S/FTP shielding to reduce electromagnetic interference and crosstalk. Gold-plated contacts on the RJ-45 plugs improve signal transfer and corrosion resistance, while the white jacket offers a neutral appearance suitable for home or office installations.

Advantages

S/FTP construction combines an overall foil screen with individually foiled pairs to provide improved protection against external noise sources and pair-to-pair interference compared with unshielded cables. The Cat.6 rating supports 10/100/1000Base-T(X) networks, enabling reliable Gigabit data transfer over the specified length. Gold-plated contacts ensure consistent electrical contact and durability over repeated insertions. The 3 m length offers flexibility for desk-to-switch or patch panel connections without excess cable slack.

Suitable for

• Connecting computers, switches and routers within offices or home networks
• Patch connections between wall outlets and network equipment
• Short-run links in server rooms and network cabinets

Key specifications

• Cable category: Category 6 (Cat.6)
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall foil with individually foiled pairs)
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45
• Contact finish: Gold-plated contacts
• Supported protocols: 10/100/1000Base-T(X)
• Length: 3 m
• Outer colour: White

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 plug to your network device (computer, switch or router) and the other plug to the corresponding port on the opposite device. Ensure plugs are fully inserted until the latch clicks to secure the connection. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and excessive tension; maintain recommended bend radius for Cat.6 cables to preserve performance. For installations in electrically noisy environments, ensure both ends of the shielded cable are properly connected to grounded metal ports or shields where available.

Recommendations

Use this Lindy Cat.6 S/FTP cable for reliable Gigabit connections over short runs. Avoid running the cable parallel and close to high-voltage power lines to minimise interference. For permanently installed or structured cabling, verify grounding conditions for shielded cabling and follow local cabling standards.
