Lindy 47720 Netwerkkabel blauw 3 m Cat6 S/FTP (S-STP)

The Lindy RJ-45 Cat.6 S/FTP 3m Blue networking cable is a shielded Ethernet cable designed for reliable gigabit network connections over a 3 metre run. Constructed for 10/100/1000Base-T(X) use, the cable combines foiled pairs and an overall braided shielding to reduce crosstalk and external interference. Gold-plated RJ-45 plugs ensure consistent contact performance and reduced corrosion risk, while the blue jacket provides clear visual identification within structured cabling environments.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding (foil around each twisted pair plus an overall braided shield) improves signal integrity in electrically noisy environments. Category 6 specification supports Gigabit Ethernet speeds and maintains performance up to the relevant frequency range for Cat6. Gold-plated connectors deliver stable contact resistance and longer connector life compared with non-plated contacts. The 3 m length is suitable for desktop and rack-to-desk runs without excess cable slack, and the blue colour helps with cable management and quick identification.

Suitable for

• Connecting desktop PCs, laptops or workstations to network switches or routers
• Linking network equipment within office racks and patch panels
• Wired connections for streaming, VoIP phones and video conferencing
• Temporary or permanent cabling in home networks and small office setups

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat.6
• Shielding: S/FTP (foil around each pair + overall braided shield)
• Supported standards: 10/100/1000Base-T(X)
• Connector type: RJ-45 to RJ-45, gold-plated contacts
• Length: 3 m
• Colour: Blue

How to use

Insert the gold-plated RJ-45 plugs into the corresponding Ethernet ports on devices such as routers, switches, network cards or VoIP phones until they click into place. Ensure connectors are oriented correctly to avoid damage to the latch. Route the cable to avoid pinching, sharp bends or sources of strong electromagnetic interference; maintain bend radii consistent with typical networking cable practice. For patch panel installations, push the RJ-45 connector fully into the patch port and secure any cable management accessories as required.

Recommendations

Use this Cat.6 S/FTP cable in environments where reduced crosstalk and external interference are important. Avoid running the cable in parallel with high-voltage power lines and do not subject it to prolonged mechanical stress. For longer runs between floors or across large rooms, consider using appropriately rated permanent cabling solutions and patch panels to maintain optimal network performance.
