Lindy 47799 Netwerkkabel wit 15 m Cat6 S/FTP (S-STP)

The Lindy RJ-45 Cat.6 S/FTP 15m White networking cable provides a 15 metre connection for Gigabit Ethernet networks with S/FTP (shielded/foiled twisted pair) construction. It is fitted with gold-plated RJ-45 connectors at both ends and is designed for use with 10/100/1000Base-T(X) installations. The white outer jacket offers a discreet appearance for residential or commercial cabling runs while maintaining electrical performance associated with Category 6 cabling.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding reduces electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, improving signal integrity in environments with multiple cables or nearby electrical equipment. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors provide stable contact and low contact resistance to minimize connection-related signal loss. The 15 m length covers mid-range cable runs without the need for additional patch panels or extensions, and the white jacket supports a clean, unobtrusive installation.

Suitable for

• Gigabit Ethernet connections (10/100/1000Base-T(X)) between switches, routers and endpoints
• Home network wiring where a discreet white cable is preferred
• Office workstations and meeting rooms requiring shielded Cat6 cabling
• Environments with moderate electromagnetic interference where S/FTP shielding is beneficial

Key specifications

• Cable length: 15 m
• Category class: Cat.6
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid with individually foiled pairs)
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45, gold-plated contacts
• Supported speeds: 10/100/1000Base-T(X) (Gigabit Ethernet)
• Outer colour: White

How to use

Plug each RJ-45 connector into the corresponding Ethernet ports of devices such as switches, routers, PCs or network-enabled appliances. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks to secure the connection. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends, kinks and sources of strong electromagnetic interference. For optimal performance, avoid running the cable parallel and close to mains power cables for long distances.

Recommendations

For reliable Gigabit performance, keep termination points clean and undamaged and verify link speeds on connected devices after installation. If the installation passes through walls or ceilings, use appropriate strain relief and cable management to prevent stress on the RJ-45 connectors. In high-interference areas, maintain the integrity of the shielding by ensuring connectors and panels are compatible with shielded cabling.
