Lindy 47814 Netwerkkabel Oranje 15 m Cat6 S/FTP (S-STP)

The Lindy RJ-45 Cat.6 S/FTP 15m Orange networking cable is a shielded Ethernet cable designed for reliable Gigabit data transmission over a distance of 15 meters. Constructed for use in 10/100/1000Base-T(X) networks, the cable uses S/FTP (Shielded Foiled Twisted Pair) construction to reduce electromagnetic interference and maintain signal integrity. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors provide consistent contact and reduced corrosion, while the bright orange jacket improves visibility in installations and cable management.

Advantages

The S/FTP shielding minimizes crosstalk and external noise, supporting stable high-speed connections in environments with potential interference. Gold-plated contacts ensure durable, low-resistance connections and longer connector life. The 15 m length offers flexibility for linking equipment across rooms or between network racks without additional connectors. The orange color simplifies identification in patch panels and underfloor or overhead cabling runs.

Suitable for

• Connecting switches, routers and PCs in office and home networks
• Patch connections in server rooms and data cabinets
• VoIP phones, IP cameras and other PoE-capable devices within 15 m reach
• Temporary setups for events, testing or workshops where visible cabling is beneficial

How to use

Route the Lindy Cat.6 S/FTP cable between network devices ensuring the ends are accessible for secure RJ-45 insertion. Push each RJ-45 connector fully into the device port until the latch engages to confirm a positive connection. Avoid excessive bending near the connector ends and maintain bend radii consistent with standard Ethernet cable handling to preserve performance. For installations where shielding effectiveness is required, ensure both ends are connected to compatible shielded ports or properly grounded panels.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, avoid running the cable parallel and close to high-voltage power lines or heavy electrical equipment. Use cable ties or labeling to keep the orange cable identifiable in multi-cable bundles. Inspect connectors periodically for debris or damage and replace the cable if shielding or jacket integrity is compromised.
