Lindy 5m Cat.6A S/FTP LSZH netwerkkabel, grijs

The Lindy 5m RJ-45 Cat6a Grey network cable is a Cat.6A S/FTP Ethernet cable with LSZH (low smoke, zero halogen) sheath designed for high-speed data transmission and safe use in public or confined spaces. It supports network standards up to 10GBase-T and operates at frequencies up to 500 MHz. The cable is fitted with RJ-45 connectors on both ends, gold-plated contacts for corrosion resistance, and a snagless strain relief to protect the connector latch during installation and removal.

Advantages

The S/FTP construction combines a braided overall shield with foil shielding on each pair to reduce electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, meeting ISO/IEC 11801 requirements for Cat.6A performance. Gold-plated contacts improve long-term electrical reliability and resist corrosion. The LSZH outer sheath minimises smoke and prevents halogen emissions in case of fire, making the cable suitable for installations in public buildings. The snagless design protects the connector latch, simplifying repeated plug/unplug operations.

Suitable for

• 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10GBase-T) networks
• High-speed LAN connections in offices and data centres
• Environments requiring low-smoke, halogen-free cabling (public buildings, transport hubs)
• Patch panels, switches and router connections

Key specifications

• Cable standard: Cat.6A (S/FTP)
• Bandwidth: up to 500 MHz
• Length: 5 m
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45
• Shielding: braided overall shield + foil per pair (S/FTP)
• Sheath: LSZH (low smoke zero halogen)
• Compatibility: up to 10GBase-T, compatible with 10/100/1000Base-T(X)
• Colour: Grey

How to use

Plug each RJ-45 connector into the corresponding socket on network devices such as switches, routers or patch panels until the latch clicks into place. Ensure the cable is routed without sharp bends and avoid tight tension on the connectors; the snagless strain relief protects the latch but proper handling extends cable life. For trunking or fixed installations, follow local cable routing standards and maintain separation from power cables to minimise interference.

Recommendations

Use this Cat.6A S/FTP LSZH cable for high-speed links where low smoke and halogen-free materials are required. For permanent structured cabling, adhere to installation standards (bend radius, pull tension) and test links after installation to verify 10G performance.
