Liniaal Herlitz 11367984 170 mm kunststof

The Herlitz 11367984 170 mm Plastic ruler is a compact, lightweight measuring tool designed for accurate short-distance measurements and drawing straight lines. Made of durable transparent plastic, it offers clear, easy-to-read graduations across its 170 mm length. Its slim profile and compact dimensions make it suitable for everyday use by students, designers and office workers who need a reliable ruler that fits into pencil cases, notebooks or small drawers.

Advantages

The transparent construction provides good visibility of the drawing surface and underlying material, improving measurement precision. The rigid plastic body resists bending under normal use and maintains straightness for consistent line drawing. Its compact 170 mm length balances portability and usability, making it convenient to carry while still providing accurate short measurements. Clear printed markings reduce reading errors and speed up routine tasks.

Suitable for

• Measuring and marking short distances in schoolwork
• Drawing straight lines for sketches, diagrams and notes
• Use in pencil cases, stationery kits and small workspaces
• Everyday office tasks requiring quick, accurate linear measurements

Key specifications

• Material: transparent plastic
• Length: 170 mm
• Graduations: clear printed millimetre markings
• Profile: slim, flat design for easy storage
• Weight: lightweight for portable use

How to use

Place the ruler on the surface aligned with the points to be measured or the line to be drawn. Ensure the zero mark is precisely at the starting point, then read the required measurement from the graduations. Use a sharp pencil or fine pen along the ruler’s edge to draw a straight line. For greater stability during drawing, hold the ruler firmly with one hand to prevent slipping. Store the ruler flat in a pencil case or notebook to avoid bending or damage.

Recommendations

For accuracy, keep the ruler clean and free of scratches that could obscure markings. Avoid exposing the ruler to high heat or heavy loads that could warp the plastic. When drawing precise technical lines, use a fine-tipped pencil and steady pressure while keeping the ruler firmly in place.
