Luchtkoeler DeepCool AK500 Digital Pro 12 cm zwart fluid-dynamic lager

The DeepCool AK500 Digital Pro is a 120 mm air cooler in a black finish, engineered for efficient CPU heat dissipation in mainstream and high-performance PC builds. It integrates a Fluid Dynamic Bearing fan for reduced noise and long service life, an enhanced multi-datapoint display for CPU status, ARGB accents, and an improved mounting system. The cooler uses an updated Core Touch Technology 2.0 heatpipe layout and a nickel-plated coldplate to improve thermal transfer from the CPU.

Advantages

The AK500 Digital Pro combines a compact 162 mm height with a dense tower heatsink and five copper heatpipes to deliver elevated cooling performance while remaining compatible with many cases. The front display shows temperature, usage, wattage and frequency simultaneously and offers color-coded visual temperature alerts. Installation is simplified by a magnetic top panel with pogo-pin contact and durable mounting hardware. The included FT12 SE 120 mm fan with fluid dynamic bearing balances airflow and static pressure for effective cooling with limited acoustic output.

Suitable for

• Gaming desktops and performance PCs requiring effective air cooling
• Workstations and content-creation rigs with medium to high CPU loads
• System builders seeking a compact cooler with status display and ARGB integration

When it may not be suitable

This cooler may not be suitable for very small form-factor cases with restricted CPU cooler clearance below its 162 mm height. It is an air cooler, so users seeking the absolute lowest temperatures under extreme overclocking may prefer a liquid cooling solution. Compatibility should be confirmed for unusual motherboards or tall memory modules that could interfere with cooler clearance.

How to use

Mount the cooler to the motherboard using the supplied durable mounting hardware, ensuring even contact and pressure on the CPU integrated heat spreader. Connect the fan to a PWM header and the display to an available USB 2.0 header for software control of the multi-datapoint screen. If desired, connect the ARGB strips to a compatible ARGB header. Configure fan curves and monitor CPU status via the manufacturer software, taking into account that displayed readings may have minor delays depending on system configuration.

What to consider before purchase

• Check available CPU cooler clearance in your case — the cooler height is 162 mm
• Confirm motherboard has an available USB 2.0 header for the display control
• Verify RAM and motherboard layout to ensure there is no interference with the cooler
• Consider whether air cooling meets your thermal needs compared with liquid solutions for high overclocking

Recommendations

For balanced cooling and acoustics, keep the FT12 SE fan connected to a PWM header and set a custom fan curve in the DeepCool software; monitor the multi-datapoint display during initial load tests to verify stable temperatures and adjust case airflow if necessary.
