Luidsprekerkabel ShiverPeaks 06-18075 1,5 mm² 10 m rood/zwart

Speaker cable ShiverPeaks 06-18075 1.5 mm² 10 m red/black is a two-conductor audio connection cable with a 1.5 mm² conductor cross-section and a length of 10 meters. It is intended for low-voltage signal transmission between amplifiers or receivers and loudspeakers in home and small commercial audio systems. The red/black color coding simplifies polarity identification during installation and helps ensure correct channel wiring in stereo and multiroom setups.

Advantages

This speaker cable offers a moderate conductor gauge suitable for typical bookshelf and in-wall loudspeakers, providing reliable low-frequency and mid/high-frequency signal transfer for everyday listening. The clear color coding reduces wiring errors and the 10 m length covers most room-to-speaker runs without additional splicing. Constructed with multi-strand conductors, the cable is flexible enough for routing along skirting boards or through conduits in small installations.

Suitable for

• Connecting stereo loudspeakers to home receivers and amplifiers
• Small multiroom audio runs where moderate gauge cable is required
• Speaker installations in living rooms, bedrooms, or small commercial spaces
• Temporary or permanent wiring where a 10 m run is sufficient

Key specifications

• Conductor cross-section: 1.5 mm²
• Length: 10 m
• Conductor construction: multi-strand for flexibility
• Color coding: red/black for positive/negative identification
• Intended use: low-voltage audio signal transmission between amplifier and speaker

How to use

Strip the insulation ends to expose the conductors, taking care not to nick the strands. Connect the red-coded conductor to the amplifier's positive terminal and the black-coded conductor to the negative terminal; match the corresponding terminals on the loudspeaker. For secure termination, use appropriate banana plugs, spade connectors, or properly tightened binding posts. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and keep it away from power cables to reduce possible interference. If trimming the cable, preserve sufficient slack for future adjustments.

Recommendations

For best results in medium-length runs up to 10 m, maintain correct polarity throughout the system to preserve stereo imaging. Avoid running speaker cable parallel to mains wiring for long distances; cross at right angles when necessary. When used in-wall, verify local building codes and use additional protective conduit or an in-wall rated variant if required.
