Ravensburger 20000 is a boxed children's casting and painting kit designed for ages 11 and up. The set provides moulding and painting materials together with step-by-step instructions to cast small figures or decorative objects and then paint them. The kit is intended for hobby craft, school projects and creative play and supports development of fine motor coordination, patience and basic painting techniques.

Advantages

The combined casting and painting format allows users to create three-dimensional pieces and personalise them with paint, offering a full-cycle craft experience. Included materials are matched to the project so users receive the required casting medium, paints and brushes needed to complete the figures. The boxed kit provides a contained workspace and easy storage of components, making it suitable for individual projects or supervised group activities.

Suitable for

• Hobby crafters and teens exploring model making and painting
• School art lessons and craft workshops for older children
• Family craft sessions under adult supervision
• Creating personalised decorative figures or small gifts

Key specifications

• Contents for casting small figures or objects (moulding medium and moulds)
• Set of hobby paints formulated for decorating cast pieces
• Brush(es) suitable for area filling and detail work on small models
• Step-by-step instruction sheet for casting and painting
• Packaged as a boxed kit for transport and storage

How to use

Prepare a clean, level work surface and protect it with a disposable cover. Follow the included instructions to mix and pour the casting medium into the moulds, wait the recommended curing time, then demould the hardened figures. Once the cast pieces are fully set and dry, match paints to your chosen colours and apply them with the supplied brushes, starting with larger areas and finishing with fine details. Allow paint layers to dry between applications and handle finished pieces carefully until fully cured.

Recommendations

Work in a well-ventilated area and wear appropriate protection if advised by the instruction leaflet. Keep paints sealed when not in use and store components out of reach of young children. To increase longevity of finished painted figures, keep them indoors away from direct sunlight and moisture; if compatible with the paint type, apply a clear protective coating after full drying.
