How to use

Install the GWN7812P in a rack or on a flat surface and connect power and network cabling to the Gigabit RJ-45 ports. Connect PoE-powered devices to the appropriate ports to provide data and power over a single cable. Access the built-in web interface for initial configuration and enable the embedded controller to discover and provision other Grandstream GWN devices automatically. Alternatively, register the switch with GWN.Cloud for cloud-based management or deploy GWN Manager on-site for local centralized control.

Recommendations

For stable operation, place the switch in a ventilated environment within the manufacturer’s recommended temperature range, use quality Cat5e/Cat6 cabling for gigabit and PoE performance, and plan VLANs and L3 routes according to your network design. Regularly back up configurations via the chosen management platform to simplify recovery and scaling.
