Managed switch PLANET 8-poorts 10/100/1000T + 2-poorts L2 Gigabit Ethernet

The PLANET GS-2210-8T2S is a managed L2 Gigabit Ethernet switch providing 8 10/100/1000BASE-T ports and 2 Gigabit SFP slots. Designed for small businesses and enterprise applications, it combines Web Smart switching functions with PLANET’s NMS (Network Management System) and NMSViewerPro app to simplify centralized monitoring and remote management of network devices, improve operational visibility, and support secure user authentication for factory and industrial networks.

Advantages

The GS-2210-8T2S integrates link aggregation, VLAN (802.1Q), IGMP snooping, QoS and CLI management to increase availability of critical services. Its support for PLANET UNI-NMS and NMSViewerPro enables centralized management of large deployments (up to tens of thousands of nodes via the NMS platform and cloud-assisted agents), remote device discovery and configuration, real-time alerts and mobile control. Two SFP slots provide flexible fiber uplink options for long-distance connectivity and backbone integration.

Suitable for (tasks / use cases)

• Small and medium enterprise networks requiring managed Gigabit switching
• Factory automation and industrial network segments with centralized authentication and monitoring
• IP camera and surveillance deployments using ONVIF discovery and camera access
• Networks needing fiber uplinks for long-distance backbone or distribution links

How to use

Install the GS-2210-8T2S in a standard rack or on a shelf and connect RJ-45 devices to the Gigabit ports. Use the SFP slots with compatible fiber transceivers for uplinks to backbone switches or monitoring centers to achieve extended distances. Access the Web Smart GUI or CLI to configure VLANs, QoS, link aggregation and IGMP snooping. For centralized or remote management, register the device with PLANET UNI-NMS or scan the NMS agent QR code with the NMSViewerPro mobile app to add the switch to your private cloud management platform and receive alerts.

Recommendations

Use certified SFP transceivers that match the intended multimode or single-mode distances and ensure firmware is kept up to date. When deploying IP cameras, enable ONVIF discovery to quickly locate cameras and use VLANs and QoS to segregate and prioritize surveillance traffic for stable video streaming.
