Keychron V1 Ultra 8K is a 75% mechanical keyboard with a compact straight layout and QWERTY arrangement, designed for mixed wired and wireless use. It supports Bluetooth 5.3, 2.4 GHz wireless and wired USB connection, features per-key RGB backlighting with multiple effects, hot-swappable MX-style switch sockets, pre-lubed Keychron Silk POM switches, OSA double-shot PBT keycaps and a gasket mount with acoustic foam layers for a quieter, refined typing experience.

How to use

Connect the keyboard via the included USB cable for a wired connection or pair it with devices using Bluetooth 5.3 to switch between up to three devices. For low-latency wireless performance use the 2.4 GHz dongle and enable the high polling rate mode. Use the Keychron Launcher web app to remap keys, assign macros and save layouts online without installing software. Replace switches by pulling out the keycaps and swapping switches directly thanks to hot-swap sockets; no soldering required. Charge the keyboard with a compatible USB cable while using it to maintain uninterrupted operation.

Recommendations

For optimal balance between battery life and lighting, disable RGB when not needed and use Bluetooth for casual multi-device use; switch to 2.4 GHz or wired mode for competitive gaming to benefit from the 8K polling rate. Periodically clean keycaps and stabilizers and re-lubricate custom switches if you install aftermarket parts to preserve sound quality and longevity.
