Mes HELLE Polaris #675 — vaststaand outdoormes, Scandinavisch design, full tang

HELLE Polaris #675 is a fixed-blade outdoor knife with a Scandinavian-style blade and full-tang construction designed for general-purpose field use. Compact and practical, the knife is intended for tasks encountered during camping, bushcraft and everyday outdoor activity. The blade geometry emphasizes controlled cutting and carving, while the full-tang design and sturdy handle provide reliable strength and balance for light woodworking, rope work and food preparation outdoors.

Advantages

The Scandinavian blade profile offers an easy-to-sharpen edge and predictable cutting performance for carving and slicing. Full-tang construction increases structural integrity and reduces the risk of handle separation under load. The compact size and practical balance make the knife convenient to carry and manoeuvre in confined or detailed tasks. Materials and finishing are selected to withstand outdoor exposure while remaining manageable for routine maintenance.

Suitable for

• Camping tasks such as food preparation and fire-starting assistance
• Bushcraft and carving activities, including feather sticks and small notches
• General outdoor utility: cutting rope, opening packages, and light repairs
• Day hiking and everyday carry in outdoor environments

Key specifications

• Blade type: Scandinavian grind for controlled slicing and carving
• Construction: full-tang for increased strength and durability
• Intended use: general-purpose outdoor and bushcraft tasks
• Design: compact profile optimized for handling and balance

How to use

Use the knife with a secure grip and apply controlled, steady strokes when carving or slicing. For cutting rope or cordage, position the material against the blade with appropriate tension and cut away from your body. When performing light woodwork, work incrementally to avoid excessive force that could stress the handle or blade. After use in wet or corrosive environments, clean and dry the blade and apply protective oil to preserve the edge and metal surfaces.

Recommendations

Carry the knife in a proper sheath to prevent accidental contact and to protect the edge. Keep the blade sharp using a suitable stone or strop and inspect the handle and fittings periodically for signs of wear. Use the knife within its intended range—food prep, carving, rope work and light wood tasks—and avoid heavy prying or striking that could damage the blade or handle.
