Messenslijper Adler AD 4531 met verstelbare hoek, diamant- en hardmetaalstenen

The Adler AD 4531 Knife Sharpener with Adjustable Angle is a manual sharpening tool designed for household kitchen knives. It combines diamond stones for edge restoration and tungsten carbide elements for faster re-profiling, allowing controlled work on different blade geometries. The adjustable angle mechanism lets you set a consistent bevel suited to the knife type, while the compact design is intended for countertop use and simple storage.

Advantages

This sharpener provides two-stage sharpening in a single unit: carbide elements for rapid shaping and diamond stones for fine edge restoration. The adjustable angle ensures repeatable results and reduces the risk of inconsistent bevels. Its manual operation requires no power source and gives the user direct control over pressure and stroke, suitable for routine maintenance as well as repairing dull or slightly damaged edges.

Suitable for

• Household kitchen knives with straight beveled edges
• Routine sharpening and edge maintenance
• Light re-profiling after prolonged use
• Users who prefer a compact manual sharpener for countertop storage

Key specifications

• Sharpening materials: diamond stones and tungsten carbide elements
• Adjustable sharpening angle for setting consistent bevels
• Manual, non-powered operation for direct user control
• Compact countertop design suitable for kitchen use

How to use

Secure the sharpener on a stable surface if it has a non-slip base, then select the desired sharpening angle according to the knife’s bevel. Begin with the carbide stage when the blade is very dull or needs re-profiling, using light, even strokes across the carbide elements to shape the edge. Move to the diamond stones to refine and restore sharpness, maintaining a consistent angle and using several smooth passes on each side of the blade. Wipe the blade clean after sharpening and test cutting performance before regular use.

Recommendations

For best results, use the carbide stage sparingly and only when reshaping is required; rely on the diamond stage for routine maintenance. Clean the sharpening surfaces and the knife after use, and avoid applying excessive pressure that could remove too much metal or damage thin blades.
