Metabo Basic 220-24 OF Silent luchtcompressor — 24 L tank, olievrij, model 601593000

Metabo Basic 220-24 OF Silent is an oil-free air compressor with a 24 litre tank designed to deliver compressed air for pneumatic tools, inflation and general workshop tasks. The Silent variant reduces operating noise while keeping maintenance requirements low thanks to its oil-free pump. Compact dimensions and a practical tank capacity make it suitable for hobbyists and light professional use in garages, small workshops and home projects.

Advantages

The oil-free pump eliminates the need for regular oil changes and simplifies upkeep. A 24 litre tank provides a balance between portability and sufficient air reserve for intermittent tool use. The Silent design lowers noise emissions during operation, improving comfort in confined or shared spaces. Built with straightforward controls and a durable housing, the compressor offers reliable performance for typical workshop tasks.

Suitable for

• Operating pneumatic hand tools such as nailers and staplers
• Inflating tyres, sports equipment and air mattresses
• Painting small surfaces with airbrushes or low-consumption spray guns
• Cleaning dust from workbenches and machinery with air blowguns
• Light workshop and DIY tasks requiring compressed air

Key specifications

• Tank capacity: 24 litres
• Pump type: oil-free
• Noise-reduced (Silent) construction for lower sound levels
• Intended use: intermittent duty for hobby and light professional applications
• Portable footprint suitable for garage and small workshop placement

How to use

Place the compressor on a flat, stable surface and ensure adequate ventilation around the unit. Connect the air hose and tools to the outlet following the manufacturer’s instructions for fittings and pressure ratings. Switch the unit on and allow the tank to reach the required pressure before starting work; adjust the regulator to the pressure recommended for the specific pneumatic tool or inflation task. After use, switch off the compressor, release residual pressure from the hose and drain any accumulated condensate from the tank according to the service guidance.

Recommendations

Use appropriate pressure settings for each tool and avoid continuous operation beyond the compressor’s intermittent duty capability. Keep the compressor in a dry, dust-free environment and check fittings and hoses regularly for wear. Follow local safety rules for compressed air equipment and wear eye and hearing protection when operating pneumatic tools.
