Microconnect B-FTP615S Netwerkkabel zwart 15 m Cat6 F/UTP (FTP)

The Microconnect B-FTP615S is a 15 m Cat6 networking cable with RJ-45 connectors at both ends, designed for high-speed data transfer up to 10000 Mbit/s. The cable meets Cat6 performance requirements (tested up to 250 MHz) and uses F/UTP (B-FTP) shielding to reduce electromagnetic interference (EMI). Its black jacket and latch-protected RJ-45 plugs make it suitable for home and small office networks, as well as connections to switches, routers, modems, patch panels or wall outlets.

Advantages

The F/UTP shielding provides protection against EMI and reduces crosstalk, helping to maintain signal integrity and lower error rates. Latch-protected RJ-45 connectors reduce the risk of connector damage during installation in tight spaces. The cable is backwards compatible with Cat5e and Cat5 standards, offering flexibility when integrating with existing infrastructure.

Suitable for

• Connecting switches, routers and modems
• Patch panel to network device connections
• Home and small office wired networks
• Entertainment systems and streaming devices

Key specifications

• Standard: Cat6 (tested up to 250 MHz)
• Length: 15 m
• Data rate: up to 10000 Mbit/s
• Shielding: F/UTP (foil shield with unshielded pairs) — B-FTP
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45 with latch protection
• Colour: Black
• Weight: 0.29 kg

How to use

Plug the RJ-45 connector into the network port of your device (switch, router, modem, PC or wall outlet) and the other end into the corresponding port. Ensure connectors click into place to secure the connection. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and EMI sources (power transformers, large motors) where possible. For installations through tight openings, use the latch protection feature to prevent snagging or connector damage.

Recommendations

For best performance, keep cable runs within recommended Cat6 distances and avoid running the cable parallel to power lines for long stretches. When connecting to older equipment, verify compatibility; the cable is backwards compatible with Cat5e and Cat5.
