If using ARC, connect the cable to the HDMI ARC-labelled port on both TV and AV receiver and enable ARC in device settings if required. Ensure connectors are fully inserted and avoid excessive bending of the cable near the ends to maintain signal integrity.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, keep cable runs as short as practical, avoid tight bends, and use HDMI ports labelled ARC when relying on audio return functionality. Check that connected devices support HDMI 1.4 features such as 4K@30Hz and HDCP 2.2 to ensure full compatibility.
