Microconnect Premium Optic HDMI-kabel 20 m

The Microconnect Premium Optic HDMI Cable 20m is an active hybrid HDMI 2.0 cable combining fiber optic and copper conductors to transmit high-definition audio and video across long distances up to 100 m without data loss. It features HDMI Type A connectors with gold plating, supports HDMI 2.0 features including 3D and resolutions up to 4096 x 2160 at a data rate of 18 Gbit/s, and includes Audio Return Channel (ARC). The cable is lightweight, flexible and has an ultra-small bend radius, making it suitable for professional and residential installations.

Advantages

The active optical design preserves signal integrity over long runs while the copper cores maintain power and certain control signals. Gold-plated HDMI Type A connectors ensure stable contact and reduced corrosion. The 20 m length and slim, flexible construction with an ultra-small bend radius simplify routing in tight spaces and structured installations. Compatibility with HDMI 2.0, 3D and ARC supports common AV setups.

Suitable for

• Long-distance HDMI connections in conference rooms and auditoriums
• Home theatre and AV setups requiring clean signal at 20 m
• Professional installations where flexibility and small bend radius are needed
• Displays, projectors and sources supporting HDMI 2.0 and ARC

How to use

Connect one HDMI Type A end to the source device (PC, Blu-ray player, set-top box) and the other end to the display or receiver. Ensure both devices support HDMI 2.0 features you intend to use. Route the cable avoiding sharp kinks; while the cable tolerates tight bends better than many fiber-only alternatives, maintain reasonable bend radii at connector transitions. No external power is typically required for standard HDMI operation.

Recommendations

For best results, verify device compatibility with HDMI 2.0 and ARC, secure connections at both ends, and avoid running the cable alongside high-power electrical lines to minimise potential interference. For runs longer than 20 m up to 100 m, confirm the specific product model supports that length and check device EDID/handshake behaviour during installation.
