Microconnect SSTP615O netwerkkabel oranje 15 m Cat6 S/FTP (S-STP)

The Microconnect SSTP615O RJ45 Cat6 networking cable is a 15 m orange S/FTP Cat6 patch cable designed for reliable wired connections between network devices such as switches, modems, routers, patch panels or wall outlets. The cable supports Cat6 performance up to 250 MHz and is backwards compatible with Cat5e and Cat5 systems. It features latch protection on the RJ45 connector and full shielding to reduce electromagnetic interference for stable high-speed data transmission up to 10000 Mbit/s.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding provides protection against EMI and limits crosstalk, improving signal integrity in environments with electrical noise. The Cat6 specification supports higher bandwidth and transmission quality compared with older categories, while latch protection helps prevent connector damage during installation in tight spaces. The 15 m length and bright orange color make the cable easy to route and identify in patch panels and structured cabling installations.

Suitable for

• Office and home network connections between switches, routers and modems
• Patch panel and keystone jack wiring
• High-speed Ethernet applications requiring Cat6 performance

Key specifications

• Category: Cat6 (250 MHz)
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid + individually foil screened pairs)
• Maximum data rate: up to 10000 Mbit/s (depending on network equipment)
• Connector: RJ45 with latch protection
• Length: 15 m
• Color: Orange
• Compatibility: Backwards compatible with Cat5e and Cat5

How to use

Connect one RJ45 end to a network device (switch, router, modem) and the other end to the destination device, patch panel or wall outlet. Ensure connectors are fully seated until the latch clicks to secure the connection. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and keep it separated from strong sources of electromagnetic noise where possible. Verify link speed and network settings on connected devices after installation.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use this S/FTP Cat6 cable in environments with potential EMI and pair it with Cat6-compliant equipment and properly terminated patch panels or keystone jacks. Avoid excessive bending and mechanical strain to preserve shielding and connector integrity.
