Microfoon Aston Microphones Spirit zwart bundel

The Aston Microphones Spirit Black Bundle is a condenser microphone kit engineered for professional studio recording of vocals and instruments. The package includes the Spirit Black large-diaphragm condenser microphone and an integrated pop filter accessory to reduce plosives and protect the capsule. The microphone delivers a warm, detailed frequency response suitable for voice, acoustic instruments and close-miked sources, while its solid metal construction and simple mounting make it suitable for permanent and mobile studio setups.

Advantages

The Spirit Black Bundle provides accurate sound capture with low self-noise and a broad dynamic range, enabling clear reproduction of both subtle detail and stronger transient material. The built-in pop filter reduces breath and plosive artifacts, improving vocal clarity without additional external accessories. The bundle is compact and robust, designed for consistent performance in a variety of recording environments.

Suitable for

• Studio vocal recording for podcasts, singing and voiceover
• Recording acoustic guitars, pianos and other acoustic instruments
• Home studio and project studio sessions
• Close-miking of amps and percussion in controlled environments

Key specifications

• Condenser large-diaphragm capsule optimized for vocals and instruments
• Cardioid polar pattern for focused pickup and rejection of off-axis sound
• Integrated pop filter to reduce plosives and breath noise
• Metal chassis for mechanical durability and reduced handling noise
• Balanced output for connection to professional microphone preamps and interfaces

How to use

Position the Aston Spirit Black microphone on a stable stand with the capsule facing the sound source. For voice, place the microphone approximately 10–20 cm from the mouth and angle slightly to reduce direct plosives while the integrated pop filter further attenuates bursts of air. Connect the microphone to a compatible microphone preamp or audio interface using a balanced cable and enable phantom power if required by the preamp. Adjust input gain to capture a clean signal without clipping and monitor levels with headphones during setup.

Recommendations

Use the integrated pop filter in combination with proper mic placement to achieve clear vocal recordings. For instrument capture, experiment with distance and angle to find the balance between body and detail. Use a shock mount and isolation if recording in environments with vibration or handling noise.
