Microfoon BOYA BY-MM1

The BOYA BY-MM1 is a compact cardioid microphone designed to improve the sound quality of videos recorded with built-in microphones. It provides wired 3.5 mm connectivity and includes both TRS and TRRS cables for use with cameras, camcorders, smartphones, audio recorders, and PCs. The microphone has a sensitivity of -42 dB, a frequency response of 35–18,000 Hz and a signal-to-noise ratio of 76 dB, all in a lightweight aluminum housing weighing 86 g.

Advantages

The cardioid polar pattern reduces off-axis noise and focuses on the subject, delivering clearer vocals and on-camera sound. The plug-and-play wired design requires no battery, enabling reliable operation without power management. The package includes an anti-shock mount that reduces handling and cable noise, and the compact, lightweight metal construction is convenient for handheld and on-camera use.

Suitable for

• Vlogging and on-camera video recording
• Interviews and field recording with cameras or smartphones
• Podcasting and voiceovers with recorders or PCs
• Streaming and content creation requiring improved built-in mic quality

Recommendations

For best results, position the BOYA BY-MM1 within 30–60 cm of the speaker and point the microphone directly at the sound source.
