Modelbouwsetonderdeel / accessoire Revell 3279 03279

The Revell 3279 scale model part is an accessory designed to enhance detail and realism in compatible model kits. Made by REVELL, this component is produced from durable materials and engineered for precise fit with a range of plastic model assemblies. The part is intended for hobbyists and modellers who need a reliable replacement or upgrade element to refine the appearance of vehicles, aircraft, ships, or other scale subjects.

Advantages

This scale model part offers accurate molding and consistent dimensional tolerances to ensure a clean fit into existing model kits. The use of quality plastic provides good surface definition for painting and weathering, while its durability reduces the risk of breakage during assembly and handling. The design supports straightforward integration with standard plastic modelling techniques, enabling smoother seams and improved final presentation.

Suitable for

• Detail upgrades on plastic model kits (vehicles, aircraft, ships)
• Replacement of lost or damaged original parts
• Scratch-building and custom modification projects
• Hobbyist projects requiring precise, paint-ready components

Key specifications

• Material: injection-moulded plastic with fine surface detail
• Finish: smooth, paintable surface suitable for hobby paints
• Compatibility: designed for use with scale plastic model assemblies
• Dimensions: scale-appropriate sizing for common model kit standards
• Durability: resistant to typical handling during assembly and finishing

How to use

Carefully remove the part from its sprue using a modelling cutter or fine saw, then clean any remaining flash or mould lines with a hobby knife and fine sandpaper. Test-fit the component into the intended position on the model and make minor adjustments as needed to ensure correct alignment. Use standard plastic cement or appropriate adhesive to secure the part, taking care to apply glue sparingly to avoid visible residue. After assembly, prime and paint the part using compatible hobby paints and finishing techniques to match the surrounding model surfaces.

Recommendations

Handle small parts with tweezers to reduce the risk of loss; use a primer before painting to improve paint adhesion and reveal any surface imperfections that need sanding. Store spare parts in a dry, dust-free container to maintain surface quality until use.
